Our story

A White Street tradition since 1994.

Las Mas is what came next. After twenty-four years pouring margaritas and serving handmade plates as Las Margaritas, we closed our doors in October 2024 to do something we'd been dreaming about for years — a complete remodel of the room that has hosted three generations of Wake Forest families.

The kitchen never changed hands. The same cooks who made your favorite enchiladas a decade ago are still pressing tortillas, simmering mole, and grilling carne asada in the back. What changed is the room around them: warm wood, a longer bar, more seats for the friends and neighbors who've made our weekends ours.

Same kitchen. New look. Wake Forest's downtown cantina since 1994.

We renamed the place Las Mas — "the more" — because we wanted to keep more of what worked, build more of what we'd been missing, and make more space for the community that built us. Same kitchen. New look. Wake Forest's cantina.

What hasn't changed

  • Made in-house

Salsas, tortillas, marinades, moles. The kitchen does the work — same as it ever was.

  • Family-run

Two generations of one family on the floor and in the kitchen. You'll see us.

  • Wake Forest first

We're a downtown business. Our suppliers, our staff, our regulars — all from here.

Come see what's new — the kitchen's still ours.
